Project Overview
Wilmar Sugar International – Pioneer Mill – Brandon
Our client came to us when they needed to access the perimeter of their chimney stack to install a strengthening ring located at 45m above ground level.
The principle contractor has previously received quotes from other scaffolding contractors who had planned to build the scaffolding from the ground up. The Project Manager had heard about how Benchmark can build scaffolding on the ground and crane it into position and contacted us to find out more.
Within days, Benchmark was onsite and constructing the scaffolding modules at ground level and lifting them into position at height. Within one 10-hour shift, the scaffolding was completed and ready for use.
It is estimated that not only did this method save the principle contractor around one hundred thousand dollars and three weeks in time, but the installation was installed in such way that all working at heights risks were eliminated and the potential for dropped objects removed.
